ISEF 2025 Records Indonesian Financial Transactions Reaching Rp 3.1 Trillion
Jakarta – The 2025 Indonesia Sharia Economic Festival (ISEF) has officially concluded with encouraging results. During the event, held from October 8–12, 2025, total business matching, financing, trade, and sales transactions reached IDR 3.1 trillion, an increase from IDR 2 trillion the previous year.
Senior Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia (BI), Destry Damayanti, stated that this achievement affirms ISEF's role as a strategic initiative in strengthening an inclusive, sustainable, and globally competitive national sharia economic ecosystem.
"Through cross-sector synergy and continuous innovation, let's make Indonesia not just a market, but also the center of gravity of the global sharia economy," Destry said in a written statement on Monday (10/13/2025).
Destry explained that the 2025 ISEF went smoothly with broad participation from the public, business actors, and financial institutions. The increase in transaction value, she said, demonstrates the high level of global confidence in Indonesia's sharia economic potential.
This year, ISEF brought together more than 700 sharia-compliant business actors, including halal MSMEs, creative industries, Islamic financial institutions, and investors from various countries.
Over the five days of the event, ISEF featured 22 domestic and international forums, 28 halal product and business linkage exhibitions, 30 talk shows and community activities, and 20 competition categories involving 34 ministries/institutions and 30 international partners.
The number of visitors, both offline and online, reached 89,000, demonstrating the high public enthusiasm for the development of the national Islamic economy and finance.
Destry emphasized that ISEF's success is not the end, but rather the beginning of a long journey toward Indonesia's Islamic economic independence.
"We must maintain the spirit of synergy that has been established. ISEF is a concrete manifestation of collaboration in strengthening a resilient, competitive, and equitable Islamic economy," she said.
Carrying the theme "Synergy of Sharia Economy and Finance Strengthens Independence and Inclusive Economic Growth," ISEF 2025 features four main clusters:
- The Halal Industry & Sharia Business Forum, featuring business matching and a trade and investment forum.
- The Sharia Finance & Investment Forum discusses strengthening the Sharia financial market, green sukuk, and Islamic social finance.
- The Sharia Social and Education Movement focuses on Sharia economic literacy and youth innovation competitions such as the Youth Sharia Entrepreneurship Forum and the Shariapreneur Innovation Challenge.
- The Art, Culture, and Halal Lifestyle Exhibition showcases modest fashion shows, halal culinary delights, and creative products based on Sharia values.
With these achievements, ISEF 2025 further affirms Indonesia's position as a major force in the global Sharia economy.
